The First Way 

Vera threw herself forward through time and pulled herself into piles of scraped-up marbles, each rolling for its own blown-closed batch of patterning. She was one half of a pair of ghosts, now, exploding in the air between particles, now, each tiny molecule of her compressed into the same piece; the divine contraction of self, all chemical retraction and mineral combustion of her unique patterning structure, all dynamic release. 

But true creation is cosmic payment enough and her surrender rewarded her the ability to contract each grain of herself and pour upward in refraction, here and there between crots of light, seeing the cosmic pastoral as a comet, leaping over planets and surfing the great tides of Uilean chaos to find that moment of precise equilibrium that would bring her closer to the internal eternal celestial choosing of freedom the moment she sustained herself. 

And with evolution comes new ability, and a reintroduction.

The Other Way

Cela threw herself backwards through time and shed herself into millions of marbles from the cosmic satchel, each rolling its own blown-open batches of wandering chaos, but she was one half of a pair of ghosts, now, trapped in the air between particles, now, each tiny molecule of her separated into distinct pieces; the divine expansion of self, all chemical plumes and sinewy ribbon and crystallized gemstones of her unique patterning structure, all held static.

But suffering is cosmic payment enough and her handsome rewarded her with the ability to scrape herself back together and pour up in prayer, each of her grains passing up to be refracted here and there between crots of light, streaking through the cosmic pastoral as a comet, bounding over planets and racing through the encroaching maw of the galactic surf to find that moment of precise equilibrium that would take her away from the internal infernal compulsion of reliving the moment she betrayed herself.

And with evolution comes new ability, or perhaps a reintroduction.
